Privacy policy

This policy describes how Angel Luis Almaraz Sánchez (“Desvelio”, “we”) treats personal data when you use desvelio.com. If you disagree, do not send a form. Questions: the contact form.

Controller

What this policy covers

It covers two different things:

  • People who visit desvelio.com or send the trial or contact form. Here Desvelio is the controller.
  • Readers of a publisher that has the product installed. There the publisher is the controller and Desvelio is the processor. That is governed by a processing agreement, not this page.

Visitors to this site

We measure the audience of desvelio.com with the same first-party tool we install for publishers, hosted in the European Union. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding which pages help and improving the site. There is no third-party analytics.

The measurement is designed not to identify anyone:

  • No cookies, and nothing stored on your device.
  • Your IP address and browser signature are not stored; they are used only at the moment of the visit to derive generic attributes (country, device type, browser) and a statistical code that becomes unrecoverable every month.
  • We record pages viewed, where the visit came from (for example a search engine or social network, including any campaign parameters in the link), reading time, and technical performance data.
  • No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles, no sharing or selling of data to third parties.
  • Detailed data is deleted from the live database after 30 days. Later archives cannot be linked back to a person.

You can object to the measurement by blocking the site’s scripts with your browser’s tools.

The server also logs the minimum needed to serve and protect the page (IP address and technical request data, in short-lived logs). We do not build a profile or stitch visits together.

The language menu opens in your device language. If you pick the other one, this browser remembers it in local storage (not a cookie) so we do not send you back. That preference is only used to show the site in the language you asked for. You can clear it by deleting this site’s data in the browser.

Forms (free trial and contact)

If you send a form we process the fields you fill in. On the trial: name, work email, domain, monthly pageview band, and, if you write it, what you want to decide better. On contact: name, email, role, publisher, and the message. We also keep the date, the page, and a technical request identifier (including the IP) to stop abuse.

The legal basis is your request for the trial or for a reply (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and, for the checkbox you tick, consent (Art. 6.1.a).

We use that data only to reply and, where relevant, to prepare the 30-day trial. There is no mailing list. There is no transfer to third parties for commercial ends.

Where it sits

The request is stored on our server in the European Union (Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany). We send a copy to our mailbox (OVHcloud, European Union) so we can reply. These data are not transferred outside the EU.

Retention

For as long as the commercial conversation lasts and, at most, 24 months from the last contact if there is no contract. If we sign, data needed for the contract and legal duties is kept for as long as that relationship requires.

International transfers

Hosting for this site and the file of requests stay in the European Union. These data are not transferred outside the EU. We do not sell or share data with advertising platforms.

Your rights

If you have written to us, you may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and, where it applies, portability, through the contact form. You may also withdraw the form-checkbox consent; that does not undo a reply already sent. There is no automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you.

Because we do not identify people who only visit the site, we cannot match a specific visit to a rights request (Art. 11 GDPR).

You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Sensitive data and minors

We do not ask for or process special-category data (health, biometrics, racial or ethnic origin, religion). This site is not directed at anyone under 18.

The product on customer publishers

When a publisher installs Desvelio, the publisher is the controller and Desvelio is the processor. The product does not use cookies or store anything on the reader’s device. Audience data stays in the European Union. That is explained in each publisher’s own policy and in the processing agreement, not here.

Changes

If the processing changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. The legal notice and the cookie policy complete this text.
